Create flash cards on your PC to quiz yourself on subjects.
Enhance your study methods with made-to-order flash cards created on your PC with this program. An easy-to-use interface allows you to organize, print, export, and import your flash cards. Version 2.0 features enhanced pictures, sound, text, options.
After a while, the program did not display properly. I contacted the company 2 weeks ago for help, but I received no reply. I suspect the company is out of business. I would not recommend buying this program. Keep searching.

This is what happened:

-----------------------------------

Create a few cards in a flashcard set.

Create a new card but don't save it (i.e. don't press Enter) yet.

Click the "X" button to close the application.

Click "No" at the pop-up.

Click "No" again at the next pop-up.

Still with the card unsaved, press the arrow button to return to a previous screen.

This time click "Yes" to save the card. You will now be in the previous window thinking that you have saved the card.

Go back to the flashcard set you were just in. The card that you just saved is there, but any others you had created previously are all gone!

----------------------------------

This bug deleted a whole day's work (over 60 technical flash cards)! I wrote the above text to their technical support a week ago and no reply. On their site it says that if no one replies in 24 hrs, they give you your money back. I didn't care about it then, until... Yesterday, I closed the app off after saving the card (i.e. I did everything normally) and it deleted 2 days worth of cards I had created. I wrote to them again, and still no reply (though it hasn't been quite 24 hrs yet). NOW - I want my money back!

Apart from that, the interface is so played out (old), and should offer more features for $25. It looks like no one has worked on improving this app in quite a while.

I found Virtual Flash Cards to be the best of its kind on download.com. It installed without any problems, and I was creating my own cards in about 15 minutes. Plenty of necessary options: you can flip through the cards visually only, or you can set the program to prompt for user's written imput, etc. It repeats cards you missed so that you can focus on them, you can study the cards back to front or front to back. . . The unregistered version is complete enough to give you a comprehensive look. At $17 for the registered version, you can't go wrong. This is the one you're looking for; I'll be recommending it to all my students.
