CNET Editors' review
This basic application makes a fine solution for simple extraction of audio from AVI, MPEG, ASF, and WMV video clips. Video to Audio Converter boasts a bright and cheerful design with four large buttons for converting files to the MP3, OGG, WAV, or WMA format. However, it wasn't immediately clear that you had to push one of these buttons to add a file to convert. The Options icon lets you alter such variables as bit rate, sample rate, and audio quality. The conversion process itself is extremely fast, though we wished you could cut smaller selections from larger files. Happily, the program will be ideal for those folks who want to extract audio files in bulk, though the trial version limits you to 10 conversions. If you don't need either the ability to chop files or any other editing features, you could do worse than Video to Audio Converter.Publisher's Description

"couldn't set the start and stop points"
Version: Video to Audio Converter 2
Pros
simple and appears to do everything i needed it to
Cons
i couldn't set the "stop" point. I wanted only the first 4:26 of the 7 min video, yet when i selected that and started to convert, it would revert to the full 7 min. I quickly uninstalled it and tried another program.
