I have no pro's to report, I don't think the actual program downloaded.
Cons
This download infected my computer with SystemProgressiveProtection virus and other malware. The malware began to install trojans IMMEDIATELY upon download\run.

It works.
I tried I don't know how many 'solutions' on the Internet for getting rid of the Google redirect problem that redirects you to unwanted websites when you click on a link created by a search done in Google. None of them made any difference.
I have a tech support/repair background and am usually decent at getting solutions but nothing worked until I tried this.
I haven't had a problem that was this stubborn to remove on my home pc since years.

Have to make sure you don't allow system restore to apply when you are using, otherwise - very easy.

The rootkit thing I was trying to get rid of recognized it and it took me two attempts to download it and start it.
Summary
Use Malwarebytes for the AV 2012 awful thing that is floating around and use Unhackme to get rid of the redirect issue. Thanks to both companies for putting these on Cnet!

I really can't think of any after having put up with memory hogs, locked computer, and programs freezing from my other PAID programs.

"Got rid of google redirect virus"

I have had the redirect virus for a couple of weeks and had tried every anti virus I could find. This is the only one that was able to find and remove the virus.
Cons
After it removed the virus the unhackme screen just shut down. I was unsure if it had worked or not, but thankfully it did.

Cleaned viruses that avast 6 internet security didn't.. Believed or not it did. I had i virus in my PC ran Avast boot scan. Nothing. Seared the web and found this software and cleaned it. Winupdate.exe was the name of the virus
