Trillian for Mac is an instant messaging app with quite a few extras added. Trillian for Mac is available from the App Store as well as many download sites. It installs easily. The main Trillian for Mac client is free, and there is a Pro version that removes ads and allows for cloud storage, although most people will opt for the free app.
The main purpose of Trillian for Mac is an IM platform that connects to all the popular messaging and social networking platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, GTalk, Yahoo, Windows Live, and many more. Of course, you have to provide log-in credentials for the app for each site. Since there is a Trillian app for iOS, it can automatically sync between the two platforms so your chat sessions are up-to-date on both devices. The screen interface for Trillian for Mac is clean and intuitive. A nice touch is the ability to read your address book on your Mac and integrate that with Trillian. When messages or updates arrive, your Mac menu bar can display an icon alerting you.
In our testing, we found Trillian for Mac a joy to use. It was easy to set up multiple feeds and manage the contact list and account list. The interface is easy to work with, and the customizable notifications mean you can focus on work when you have to, instead of paying constant attention to the client. We enjoyed using Trillian for Mac, and it probably will become our standard IM and chat client.
Trillian for Mac is a free messenger that makes it easy to chat with your friends no matter where they are. Use Trillian to connect to Facebook, Windows Live, Twitter, GTalk, AIM, Yahoo, and much more. As an added bonus, Trillian for Mac syncs beautifully with Trillian for iPhone when you're on the go!
