• New Levels of Security

  Pros

  Working great with a new level of Security not found in most security programs. Alters entire perceptions of profiling that could have been used against business research and allows you to keep that edge that your competition will not know for sure which direction your research is heading in.

  Cons

  Only con I have heard of was from a research associate when Bing was included as one of the search engines. Main issue was a hang up and repetitive searches on Bing. Trackmenot has the option of disabling any of the search engines and while I had no issue with Bing myself did disable it as 1 of the search engines since using the 3 others was more than enough. Come to think of it, this could actually be a pro because randomly changing the search engines used from time to time would further alter any online profiles being generated by online business opponents.

  Summary

  For those involved in high security online research this is a must for confusing business profiles generated by said online research. Most keylogging spy systems would send false profiles on online searches and confuse data generated by collation of such falsified data. Would also help the average browser in as much as profiles would become nonspecific to that individual and slow down spam that might seem to be actually intended for that user! Much social hacking starts with a profile that is close to the real interests of the user, if this is avoided you start out one step ahead in identifying fraud when it comes knocking on your email, phone, or home mailing address. This is different than most security software, it is proactive and so is working well before an attack may come your way. It does not replace other security software, you still need a fire wall and antivirus, malware etc. But if you want to be one step ahead, this is a great start. While I use it on Chrome, I also have it on Firefox, but that is a different download so find that one either here on cnet or through FF browser Add-ons. I advise setting it up with no more than 10 searches per hour and allow burst searches if that is an option on the version that works best with your browser. This security is so unexpected and virtually unknown that it deserves it's own class in online and offline protection.
