Publisher's description
From High Criteria :Total Recorder Standard Edition is an audio recording software designed to record PC audio from almost any source: streamed audio from external players (like iTunes, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player) and Internet-telephony programs (like Skype), sound from a microphone and other input lines on a sound card. As opposed to majority of recording software, Total Recorder Standard Edition records sound from another software in digital format directly without a conversion. It is possible to perform recording in any of supported sound format: WAV, MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC. You can use both regular recording and recording through built-in or an external scheduler. Total Recorder Standard supports playlists in M3U, PLS and WPL formats and allows to work with file tags. The program also can be used as a converter between any of the supported formats.

Summary: The irony of this type of program is its own popularity makes it largely obsolete. Probably good stuff when it was not on the radar of YouTube, last.fm, Rhpasody, etc.
But once webmasters and programmers hear about a potentially pirac... read more >> -
