Convert e-mail messages from Thunderbird mbox format to *.eml MS Outlook Express format.

Thunderbird to Outlook Express convert mail messages from Thunderbird files (mbox format) to separate .eml messages and store them in folders as you see folders in Thunderbird. Conversion is done for all Thunderbird folders and if the folder is empty then an empty folder for Outlook Express is created too.

Import to Outlook Express you make in that way find one folder created by Tbird2OE, go into and select all messages here, using mouse drag & drop these messages into Outlook Express folder. Select messages in another folder and go to point. Languages Czech, English, Slovak.

Lots of errors in the exported files. Exports individual files not folders.
Summary
Will get the files moved, but with errors. Still need DAWN to move address book.

Collates all the eml files in their folders
Cons
Runs in Czech, but can be changed to run in English by edting the tbird2oe.cfg file in Notepad and changing the entry 'Language=CZ' to Language=EN. The program will then run in English. Also very SLOW.

+ Does what it claims so that I do not have to do it manually using mbx2eml in each folder and each sub-folder + Installer prompts for language and English is an option + Flashing green status section lets me know it has not locked up while running
Cons
(both minor) - After selecting English during installation the user must still select EN from the tab in the lower right corner to see English text - Browse button does not work like regular Windows file explorers (see *** below)
Summary
I gave this 5 stars because I did not have to do the conversion manually in each folder and subfolder with the mbx2eml program that also works, but not recursively in folders. This program starts at a top level folder such as "Local Folders" and recursively converts all of the files and folders beneath it. To go from Thunderbird email to Outlook email, use this to convert Thunderbird email to a format Outlook Express will read (Windows Live Mail should read it too). Outlook will then import from the Outlook Express email format * Do not have either of the Source or Output folders open while this runs *** Browse button does not work like regular Windows file explorers (double clicking c: does not open the contents of c: but going to the drop down and re-selecting c: does). Using the drop down box, any drive can be accessed and then folder names can be double-clicked to access their contents

I installed and selected English, but program isn't in English. No biggie, but non usable.

Seems like an easy glitch to fix.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Sep 13, 2010<p/>Correction: there is a little button on the bottom right of the window that says CZ. Click that and change it to EN and you'll switch to English. HOWEVER, I still couldn't use the program -- using it's browse button to find my T-bird files wouldn't take me to where I needed to go.
