Anonymous proxy servers are a popular way to browse the Web in near-total privacy. Super Proxy Helper gathers a list of anonymous proxies, but unfortunately does a terrible job connecting to them. The interface distributes program functions across several tabs, including ones for Internet tools such as Ping, Traceroute, and Finger. These are straightforward and easy to use. By contrast, the main proxy interface suffers from a cluttered layout with several buttons and no help file. The trial version downloads a list of 30 proxy addresses, but when we launched our browser our selected proxies generated error messages time and time again. Super Proxy Helper is fine for getting a quick list of proxies, but its poor connection results make it a dubious choice for anything more.
