Though the interface doesn't tell you if certain processes are potentially harmful, it can alert you every time a new app is attempting to install as a start-up item. Therefore, seasoned users might be able to use it to spot malware intrusions. You can disable start-up entires or add new ones via a right click, though the program also offers menu items for doing so.

Though it offers few features unrelated to its main job, this program makes the process of managing start-up items a hassle-free affair. StartupXPert Professional's chart-like interface may make you yawn, but it's pretty straightforward, displaying data such as the program name and registry location.

StartupXPert Professional could certainly benefit from additional features, but as it stands, it still makes a decent addition to machines with a lot of installed software.

StartupXpert does not uninstall cleanly and parts of the program are left behind upon uninstallation. I cannot get rid of them.

Simple, stable, and most importantly effective. I tried 3 other start up listers for my 80 gig HD, and 2 of them didn't even detect the drive. The third one found it,Try it!
