From Michel Kramer :Spamihilator works between your e-mail client and the Internet and examines every incoming e-mail. Useless spam mails (junk) will be filtered out. This process runs completely in the background. The new learning filter (Bayesian filter) uses the rules of Thomas Bayes (English mathematician, 18th century) and calculates a certain spam-probability for every e-mail. You can train this filter. So it will know your messages even better than you. Hence the recognition rate will continuously increase.
What's new in this version:
- Messages will be premarked even when the Training Area is already open.
- Fixed display of the column sort icon in the Recycle Bin and Training Area under Vista.
- Updating the DCC Filter configuration file will not cause the installer to stall anymore.
- The last seen timestamp in the Link Filter's list of links will be updated correctly now
- Fixed a bug in the link filter that did not display the last seen date immediately when a new link was added manual... see all new features

Version: Spamihilator 0.9.9.44
"Spamihilator works great with Goldmine CRM software"
Pros: Easy to install and nice user interface. Training feature allows you to help the tool know good email from bad. Only SPAM Filter that I got to work with Goldmine email client. System tray Icon tells you how many suspect emails passed through.
Cons: It does require you to do some Training on what is SPAM, but the interface is very clean and simple to use.
Summary: I tried a number of SPAM filter programs, but Spamihilator was the one that worked in between my Goldmine email client and my ISP. There are some manual changes you need to make to your Goldmine email configuration, but the Help manual was clear on... read more >>

gmail and yahoo have very good built in spam filters too
Errs on the side of permissivenessSummary: This is excellent software. Smart, configurable, effective. There's a certain amount of satisfaction tuning your own email client to block spam.
