SiSoftware Sandra provides a robust package of diagnostic tools for testing your system and teasing out its problems--or potential headaches.
This download launches a cheerfully designed interface with an array of colorful--one might even say sprightly--icons for each of its tools. Its arrangement of tools was nicely categorized for the user's benefit: Computer Maintenance, Module Types (Benchmarks, Hardware, Software, Support), and Program Maintenance. Across the top of the window are tabs for each category that match the icons, and each tab provides access to a set of focused tools. We were very pleased with SiSoftware Sandra's performance during our tests. We liked that we could choose from a thorough list of options of items for tests--less robust packages simply run their diagnostics without informing the user just what is getting tested or how. Novices may be in the dark about some of the particulars listed by the app's option boxes, but experienced users will appreciate the thoroughness. Thanks to these option lists, we were able to pinpoint devices, peripherals, and processes for testing; we didn't have to wait for the tool to run a complete test through our entire system. We also liked the benchmarking and reporting features, which are required for anyone interested in comparing performance over time or developing trending reports.
For those running SiSoftware Sandra from a server for network diagnostics, the 75-module limit for the trial version may seem inadequate. However, the price is nice for the robust feature set provided by this toolbox.

"It caused me a blue screen"
Pros: I did not use it long enough to find one!
Cons: I downloaded and installed Sandra 2010a and my first application was to check my HDDs: instead of results I got an immediate blue screen. My first move after rebooting was to uninstall it.
Summary: I knew this piece of software since I had used earlier versions in the past, with some problems too, as far as I remember. I am not saying "Never again!" but at least "Never before having a new PC with a new motherboard and a new OS.".

"This utility runs on most systems and is accurate."
Pros: Sandra 2010 has more features than I care to type. It can monitor ever aspect of your computer.
Cons: Like I said, it works on most systems. This maxed my resources and CPU. I believe this is do to having a socket 487 processor. I haven't found a program that works well with these boards. With that said I am not going to rag on SiSoftware's Program.
Summary: If you are a UberGeek, and don't have a socket 487 processor and board, Get this Program. For everyone else, you might want to find something with less features and and better interface.

"Cant understand anything due to language problems!"
Pros: From what I see, almost everything seems to be iconized and the graphics are alright.
Cons: I selected English upon installation and it still installed the product in German! I cant seem to find the language settings anywhere on the thing and the manufacturers homepage is absolutely unhelpful!
Summary: I dislike it because of the language problem. Reinstalling does not work either. No matter how many times you reinstall and select English it still loads in German, regardless of Windows language settings. I guess it has something to do with the location. Well in any case, changing the language on a programme that has 6 languages should be under settings and clearly visible, which is not.

"Extremely cryptic in description of problems found."
Pros: Worked, I think.
Cons: Didn't have enough user interface documentation as to how or what it was going to do.
It blue screened during a HDD defrag, scared me, I thought I might have to reinstall the OS. The Laptop booted but complained that it was shut down forcefully.Summary: I think I will stay with CCleaner for a while longer.

"GIVES A GOOD VIEW OF THE SYSTEM"
Pros: Each section, CPY, Hardware etc is clearly separated. It made my work a lot easier to (in this case) identify some technical information.
Cons: I was unable to clearly identify if the cpu is 64bit

"Worked as expected."
Pros: Allowed me to monitor my CPU Temperature which was causing a problem.
Cons: When I tried to do a burn in test my system locked up and I had to manually shut it off. Would like to see the results of that test.

"Worse piece of junk yet"
Pros: The trial version scans quickly.
Cons: The listing of errors is unfathomable as far as knowing which programs or files are involved. If you click on "repair" it tells you that the repair is limited in the trial version How is one to know whether to buy if the trial is a total cripple?
