With all the screensavers on the market today, SereneScreen Marine Aquarium is by far the most realistic. Marine Aquarium converts your computer screen into a vibrant and realistic saltwater aquarium. Complete with a library of 26 colorful and exotic species of fish, the demo version of Marine Aquarium can display up to three fish at a time and up to seven with the registered version. We were impressed with the complex animation of the fish and the three-dimensional formations of coral and algae that help make the aquarium indescribably realistic. Other details can be added such as variable lighting, frame rates, and the sounds of a bubbling aerator. The new version gives you the ability to run the aquarium as a screensaver or as a standalone program. Although we would like to see even more options, including the ability to create your own underwater environments, Marine Aquarium is one of the best screensavers we've seen. The fact that you don't have to clean the aquarium only sweetens the deal.Publisher's description
From Prolific Publishing :This screensaver turns your OS X desktop into a virtual aquarium. You can choose from several kinds of tropical fish that swim around the desktop of your Mac. These fish are actual 3D models, not flat images dragged accross the screen. Lighting effects simulate the sun as it passes through the tank, a realistic-looking starfish very slowly moves around the tank, and an air pump produces realistic-looking bubbles if your graphics card can support it.

Version: SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 2.6
Pros: I had a registered version of 2.0 and when I saw the clock calender option I did the upgrade for $5.95 Well worth it. You can customize it beter than before and on my new intel imac it is positively dazzling. You don't have to change the water or feed the fish and it's just fun to watch sometimes when you're tired of your word processor.

Version: SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 2.6
"easier than keeping real fish"
Pros: Basically this has got to be about the best looking screensaver going. Well worth getting a serial number for it as the increase in options over the demo is quite dramatic.
Cons: The screensaver does not engage properly, but you can launch it as an app and get an aquarium that way.

Version: SereneScreen Marine Aquarium 2.6
"Demo doesn't really work as screensaver without purchase."
Pros: Looks really good.
Cons: In ADDITION too the stated limitation of three types of fish, the screen saver will not engage properly (automatically) unless you PAY FOR IT. Worth paying for if this is your thing, but the explanation of limitations is misleading.
