From Search Maker Pro :Create a search engine for any Web site or for offline CD/DVD use. Search Maker Pro creates a single HTML search engine file. Simply place this file on your Web site to provide full search facilities for your visitors.
Comes with added support for Windows XP Service Pack 2, added XP interface style support, and new option to export list of un-indexed links. The application cannot index more than 6 pages, generate unencrypted JavaScript, or process command line options when in Evaluation Mode.

"A flawed search concept with no support."
Pros: Good choice of configuration options, easy to follow interface.
Cons: No support, the Ignored Tags setting does not recognise DIVs, does not scale well, huge JavaScript file which can take a long time to load.
Summary: Using JavaScript as a client-side search solution is a flawed method for all but the smallest of websites with a few pages to index. Even reducing the size of the index can still create a large JavaScript file which can take ages to load. If your w... read more >>

"Basic search engine; great for tight budgets."
Pros: It works within its limitations.
Cons: Will not work if templates have server side instructions (SSI).
Generate results page views OK but has errors in the HTML structure that browser will detect and show in lower left corner of window.
NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT!Summary: Proceed with caution.

Cons: Customizations options don't work. Sloppy authoring. Unattractive output. NO TECH SUPPORT!
