Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.9.0.4
"Great for boosting crappy internal speakers"
Pros: *Makes small, crappy speakers usable (like laptop speakers)
*Works globally on all sounds without media playerCons: *Doesn't work on USB enhancers like Creative X-mod.
*No options to balance out loud/quiet sounds for night-time movie watching -- like AC3 filter DRC.
*Couldn't get Win 7 to play nice with it but I was using version 1.7Summary: I couldn't get this to play nice with Windows 7 in order to try it out on my big speakers but when I tried it on XP with my laptop speakers it was amazing. I couldn't believe my little piece of crap built in speakers could sound like real desktop s... read more >>

Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.9.0.4
Pros: I have used this for a few years, it was my first exchange of cash for services on the Internet and have been pleased ever since, it is a must have on each computer change and like it better than some other built in hd sound and use it as primary
Cons: It does have some bugs but not too serious. changes settings comes up in wrong apps but they are minor compared to how good the sound it; a trade off I am willing to make. started as a must due to awful laptop speakers now with 5.1 enhancers
Summary: I only risked using my credit card on line back when I got these out of need. I had a laptop with awful sound but fair sound card so tried SRS out of desperation and was willing to try almost anything. I got lucky and have stayed with these and am ... read more >>

"Get great sound out of your laptop"
Pros: Even with my crummy laptop speakers, the sound and especially the bass is very good. Hook it up to a sound system and is it amazing..
Cons: Lots of adjustments which makes it a bit confusing to figure out what you like the best.
Summary: Well worth $30

Version: SRS Audio Sandbox 1.9.0.4
"Useful pc audio customization and tuning tool"
Pros: Many settings with different compatabilities. Compliments the windows audio system setup well, incorporating it's settings and extending/adding onto them well.
Cons: Had some trouble setting up my stereo 2.1 setup. Would not reccomend for this setup as it doesn't have customizations for it.
Summary: Excellent tool for your moderate to advanced pc user especially audiophiles like myself. If you've got a good speaker setup and are looking for free software tools to tune it to your likeing, I'd recommend this tool. Beginning pc users may find it a... read more >>
