wonderful product, great interface, love it

complete control, produces excellent quality audio, gives you amazing tools that might cost 100 times as much if you bought similar hardware (if it existed), attractive interface, works with good hardware, nice feeling about the technology.
Cons
People get the wrong idea that u just press a few buttons & a whole song comes out instantly. If 1 doesn't read the manual, many of the functions are a mystery even for technical people. Can't extract/restructure refills.Can't use live input4effects.
Summary
Know the limitations of the product and use it for the limitless wonderful things it can do for you. Analog instruments have their limitations and things they can't do. Reason doesn't make song writing necessarily easier. Writing songs is expression, not a computer. It gives you some remarkable tools. Overall I'm very happy with it and don't feel I need to look at other products. It's an excellent product. Just don't get the idea that it will do everything--it doesn't. It hands the control over to you. You don't need to buy big expensive hardware.

I have the paid version, didn't download this trial version. Worth the money if you know how to use it.
Cons
Hard to understand, and hard to use unless you're a recording pro, or have hours to try to figure it out.
