From SIMM-Comm:SCI Java Foto Chat Server is a multithreaded chat server that supports multimedia pictures, sounds, or even videos. It features an integrated HTTP server for transferring images and other media files; a JDBC database interface (tested on PostgreSQL and MYSql) for validating user/password logins; server-side global configuration-file and license management; and more. Client features include a TCP connection to talk to the server; client-side configuration using a configuration file that can be specified in the parameter section; full control over all colors and texts (translate to your own language).

Summary: the guys who made this chatserver really did a good job.
i have never seen such a stable chatserver which runs across different platforms and operating systems.
