Revealer Keylogger Free Edition is a free monitoring tool that logs everything that is typed on your computer. It records every keystroke even passwords behind asterisks and conversations in common instant messengers.
Version 1.4 adds encrypted log files and scheduled uninstall features.

While this program successfully monitors PC activities, only some of the available functionality is offered at no cost. Revealer Keylogger Free has a plain user interface with shortcut buttons across the top.
Hovering your mouse over each button reveals its function. There's a link to an online forum for assistance, but it didn't work for our testers. The program was fairly straightforward, though, even without user guidance. We were able to monitor PC activities without any issues, and we successfully exported the activity log to a chosen location. A simple click of a button hides the program, and a user-specified hot key combination quickly brought it up again. We tried to e-mail the activities log, but the e-mail fields were locked. Further reading revealed that to unlock the em-ail fields, you have to buy the upgraded version. The publishers freeware claim seemed misleading. Instead, Revealer Keylogger Free seemed more like a demo version.
This program works as a simple PC monitoring tool, but you can't take advantage of all its features without spending some money.
