RegSeeker offers a powerful registry cleaner, but it's marred by a complex layout and rather slow performance. The program has a plain menu, takes forever to clean your files, and then doesn't really give you any statistics about what it's doing. You have to babysit it to make the most out of it, too. It's still better than cleaning these files manually, but not by much.

When you're installing the program, it tries to hit you with the Delta toolbar. Make sure you deselect all of the boxes, as deselecting only the main box still lets Delta change your homepage and search. RegSeeker's layout is nice to look at, but it's a pain to navigate. Finding the "Clean All" button that everyone will be looking for takes a minute or two. The rest of the navigation panels relate to features that only advanced techies probably need. If you're one of those, you're probably not using this program. Cleaning took about an hour and sent frequent pop-notifications. It would be nice if the program just mentioned those conflicts after it was finished. The program didn't give any sort of analysis once it was done. In fact, it just decided to close itself once it finished cleaning.

If you're a stickler for advanced options, you might find something to like about RegSeeker. Users who just want a faster, less cluttered computer should look for alternatives that are just faster and more efficient than this program.

Speeds up PC really well Free to download full version
Cons
Takes a bit of know how to learn to use, can take hours to delete unwanted junk files. It's much faster to use CCleaner first to rid junk files and then use the RegSeekers "AutoClean"

A good aggressive registry cleaner, not like some other namby pamby reg cleaners that don't do much or others that do a scan and then you have to Register to buy the program

I Using regseeker for a short time and i'm satisfied because of the option to customise almost everything and for the amazingly fast search of registry. Sometimes does not found all registry keys but rarely. It's a nice utility and does not need installation, but need attention to know what you doing.After all it have a warning from the author.

RegSeeker is an interesting program, unfortunately there's a persistent bug in it that comes and goes with different revisions. If you include ActiveX /COM (CLSID) in th the cleaning, you'll get the error message: Type de donnees incorrect pour "

Pros
Easy to find reg. files, auto clean is at first nerve racking but after doing it for 10 years now it seems safe and make the computer slightly faster.
Cons
If you use a lot of programs you'll be fine but if your not used to using new software you may need to ask someone to help you.
Summary
This program has been out a long time and although I don't use it very often,it's on all of my computers now and will be on all my computers in the future.

regseeker has been on at least 7 of my computers over the years my compaint is this "iminent" malware that ended up on my computer even though i unchecked all the add on boxes.
Cons
i love regseeker but cnet has allowed a nasty little add on called "imenent" into your programs which is very bad controll over cnet downloads. come on cnet try harder. that said i've been using and depending on cnet for many years

Deletes many reg entries in comparison with other reg cleaners.
Cons
Corrupted user profile .Do not use the restore in the program. Go to the program file and find the backup file then merge.Then on dos loadup screen press F8 to the choices menu and choose ''load last known good configuration'' .Hope the user file will be restored.

works too well .be prepared for errors but you have the backup.

Maybe a little outdated, but if you are still running XP like me were running outdated software anyways. Doesn't work on Windows 7

Very lightweight program, doesn't require installation, run once, clean, repeat when needed. The main registry and various other history and other cleaners in it all work very very well.

A must have in your arsenal, but of no use if you upgrade to Win7
