• Too expensive, quirky, and yearly tax tables are $300.

  Pros

  Easy to use software if you want to pay the toll. In my opinion they sabotage the program to force you to upgrade. Twice I have had errors when re-installing the program (cannon open company file) that there is no apparent fix for: except to buy an upgrade. Once you upgrade- magically your company files open.

  Cons

  I now use Medlin Payroll because it runs about $60/year vs. QuickBooks at $299. to get your tax table updates. I still use Quickbooks for general accounting but I am going to try Medlin Accounting so I will not be forced into buying a $250 upgrade the next time the program fails. This high priced program offers no support other than online. If you cannot find an answer my looking through FAQs and Community chat: Good Luck! Support cost $49 per call.

  Pros

  Used to balance my checkbook and calculate payroll checks

  Cons

  Each year the subscription goes up and less services are offered. If I don't upgrade the product by the end of this month, my payroll will be zeroed out? That's just bad business, but they will let you upgrade online for more money than you could pay on Amazon.

  I'll start using a pencil and register before I spend another dollar on intuit!

  Pros

  Comprehensive small business accounting software that does almost everything I need for billing, customer tracking, taxes, reports, and ledger/check book functions. I've been a user for 15 years.

  Cons

  1. it can't email invoices via Gmail, only allows Outlook emailing (major bummer for me). 2. expensive 3. constantly trying to sell me products and upgrades that I don't want. For the price I paid, i really hate this.

  Summary

  Very ood program for my small business accounting needs, but if i were starting over I'd look to cheaper program that has better email interface and better customer support.

  Been using Qbooks for about 15 years, and beats the competition all to hell.

  Dont like the re-organizing of files, everytime a new edition comes out.

  Pros

  Previous versions of QuickBooks are great. Why use bait and switch tackics. I resent wasting time searching across Intuit's website looking for something that does not exist?

  Cons

  I can't review QB2011 until we receive a CD by mail.

  Summary

  After 15 minutes looking for a free download link - none exists except for MAC edition.
