Recorded microphone only
cesarinternational- Pros
- It is very simple to use. It records from the microphone.
- Cons
- The Options menu says that you can choose to record from the spearkers or from the microphone, but if you choose to have it recording from the speakers (what you ear) still records from the microphone. There is a button that says input, but there is nothing to choose there.

That prevents some sofware from doing that.

Updated on Jun 10, 2012
If you select the microphone input you will get choices in the Input drop down list.
Does what I wanted to do.
bjsdaddi- Pros
- Pretty easy to use once installed. No problems encountered.
- Cons
- None that I have found.
- Summary
- I needed a straight forward piece of software that would allow me to edit audio files that were too long. Other software advertised as 'free' were indeed free to try but to save your changes required buying a license. Quick Audio 2 works great and resaves my files in the same format I started with. I haven't tried all the available options, but for now, it does the job.
it works, just not what I wanted
Trebbor58- Pros
- it does work.
- Cons
- it didn't work the way I wanted, it was a bit confusing at first. I had trouble getting the volume to set where I wanted it, and once I figured it out, there was too much involved in using it, so I deleted it

Simply good
gabrielorlando- Pros
- It's very easy to install and to use. It has few commands in the menu bar, so there's a lot of free space -- less confusing. And it has the feature that when you select a part of a sound automatically apears a menu with effects and optios to apply to the sound. It's a good program if you are not a professional.

Simple but Good
kaniea- Pros
- This is exactly what you would expect from a free program. There arn't many features but it does exactly what it says. I downloaded and installed it with no issue. I recorded several files and saved them in mp3 and wav format which is exactly what I needed.

If you need a free program to record and save any length of audio I recomend this one.

Why bother?! As soon as I tried to open a .wav file it crashed!
Stuterus- Pros
- Cons
- I have some .wav files I want to edit in a basic fashion, so not much point paying for a program I will not later use. This seemed like a basic, free product that might suit my needs. However, as soon as I tried to open any of my files it crashed, again and again. So I'll keep looking for another program!
