This privacy app lacks a few features we usually like to see, but it still stands as a suitable safe-surfing solution. Privacy Eraser's multitab interface lets you select which areas of your system and browser you want to clean by checking or unchecking boxes. We appreciate the fact that this program supports a number of Web browsers beyond Internet Explorer, including Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, and AOL. You also can wipe away traces from Windows' system areas, such as the Run menu, the Recycle Bin, and the Clipboard. Unfortunately, unlike many of the top-rated privacy applications on the market, this one can't delete tracks from third-party applications such as IM clients. Also, although you won't find a dedicated utility for shredding files, you can choose from several secure algorithms when erasing your Internet history. Privacy Eraser makes a nice pick for those who routinely surf the Web using multiple browsers.Publisher's description
From PrivacyEraser Computing :Privacy Eraser is an Internet eraser that protects your privacy by permanently erasing the history of your computer activities. Privacy Eraser completely implements the U.S. Department of Defense 5220.22-M and NSA clearing and sanitizing standard, giving you confidence that, once deleted with Privacy Eraser, your file data is gone forever and cannot be recovered.
