CNET Editors' review
This software helps you create appealing pop-up ads despite its own bland design. Popup Toolkit's tabbed interface is crammed with text, settings, and other options. Despite the busy interface, the tabs make the process easier, walking you through each step from design to implementation. You can choose DHTML, standard, imposing, and superimposing ad types, set the ad to launch when the Web page is opened, when it's closed, and through specific links or other HTML elements. It's easy to select the ad size and choose background, title bar, and border colors and styles, and you can also apply effects so your pop-up will move across the bottom, jump around, fade out, or unfold on the page. Popup Toolkit comes with an editor to create ad content, and your finished product can be saved to an external file or installed directly into an HTML file. You can't save your projects with the trial version, but you can preview them with IE or Mozilla. Any user looking for a stand-alone program to create pop-up ads will find a handy set of tools with Popup Toolkit, but we suspect more advanced users will want more than this basic program provides.Publisher's Description

"Don't Trust this Company - The guarantee is worthless!"
Version: Popup Toolkit 1
Pros
Works well in most browsers but not in all. After contacting the company about browser support I was told that they are working on it, but it's been 3 months and it still doesn't work in Safari which is quickly becoming a popular browser. oh well.
Cons
This software has a 90 day guarantee to be free from defects but good luck trying to get your money back. I went round and round with the developer for 3 months, they said they would fix the problem but never did and I never did get my money back.
Summary
Don't trust the guarantee, you will have a long wait in trying to get problems fixed and you will not get your money back even if they admit that the software needs to be fixed and yet fail to fix it within the 90 days that they specify in their agreement. Here's just one such reply that I received after asking twice to please fix the problem, "I will fix the problem today, I was preparing for my PhD defense and was very busy, sorry, but will fix this problem now". But they never did fix the problem, 90 days came and went and they absolutely refused to honor their own guarantee.
