  Pros

  Desktop version of the popular Textfree/Pinger app. Works great with account you created on iPod etc or you can create new.

  No cons whatsoever. Thanks Pinger for creating a desktop version!

  No pro's yet since I cannot create an account yet

  Cons

  Cannot create account. I get "Sorry... looks like something went wrong. Please try again". I've tried for days and tried different names, passwords, emails, etc.

  Try it, you might have better luck!

• Great idea, doesn't work

  Pros

  Works great for 3 days. Can send and receive texts freely.

  Cons

  You'll get a verification message and the link does not work. You'll still be able to receive texts, but can't send them. Customer support is non-existent. Sure, they have forms and links for you to use to ask for help, but they never reply.

  Summary

  Great initial idea, horrible realization and support. Not worth the frustration, IMO.
