Small and simple, PicsToCD Digital Picture Album Creator/Burner turns out to be nothing particularly special. Creating photo albums is a pretty standard affair these days: Search your hard drive for images, browse the results, and select photos for your album. PicsToCD does this and offers a few helpful options in your browsing window, such as the ability to zoom, change display size, and rotate pictures. When your album is finished, the program helps you burn it to a CD. You choose the burning speed and whether to make a backup copy on your hard drive, and a CD is created without a hitch. That's all well and good, but there's better software out there, and almost any CD-burning software can help you make a disc. Beginners may find it useful, but there's no need for others to change their current tools.

PicsToCD is a specialized CD burner designed to let users quickly and easily burn their digital pictures onto any recordable disc. It uses a simple, six-step wizard to guide the user through finding and selecting pictures, creating the album, and writing the album to CD-R or CD-RW. Features include import from a TWAIN compliant digital camera, visual select screen, picture captioning, the ability to burn multiple albums per disc, special support for importing pictures from floppies and CD-ROMs, and automatic generation of thumbnails for faster browsing. Registered users receive one year of free upgrades with purchase.

Version 2.2.2 supports Windows Vista.
