Editors' reviewIt would have been easy to turn Peanuts Baseball Game Screensaver into a cherished desktop addition. Adding some character voices, or even just a soundtrack, would transform this program. Instead, you see the same three scenes over and over, in the same order: Charlie Brown gets hit by the ball; Lucy misses a pop fly; and Snoopy catches the ball with his mouth. All you hear is the whoosh of the pitch and the crack of the bat. The animation is basic, but perfectly acceptable for Peanuts fare. The screensaver offers no settings. It doesn't show up on the Add or Remove Programs control panel, but the uninstall.exe file in the program's folder removes the screensaver from your system. At least the screensaver seems free of adware and nag screens. Peanuts Baseball Game Screensaver's lack of audio and lighthearted subject matter suit work or home use.
This screensaver features your favorite Peanuts characters playing baseball for as long as you let them. While the screensaver is running, you can press the F12 key at any time to visit Snoopy.com.
