Publisher's description
From Paragon Software Group :Paragon Total Defrag 2009 is a new comprehensive product for total file system defragmentation and optimization. Built on original Paragon technologies, it performs complete low-level defragmentation that provides almost zero fragmentation level. Due to its monopoly access to the file system on a hard drive, Paragon Total Defrag 2009 allows you to speed up and optimize all critical system files and metadata including MFT (Master File Table), directories, paging files, registry hives and others. Unlike other defragmenters, Paragon Total Defrag requires less than 1% of free space on the hard drive to operate.
Version 2009 build 5905 has defragmentation of GPT disks as well as MBR disks, defragmentation of dynamic volumes, defragmentation mode: fast or safe, safe mode is slower but it protects your data even in case of a power failure during defragmentation.

Version: Paragon Total Defrag 2009 build 5905
Pros: Much more effective than Windows' built-in tool
Cons: Works a little bit slow, but I used "safe mode". I suggest in fast mode is better.

Version: Paragon Total Defrag 2009 build 5905
Pros: As a user of a previous version I can say the this one is much more better.
Just because of 1 feature: safe defragmentation mode. Yeah..it'll take a longer time but at least you won't loose anything.
+ you don't need a bunch of free space for the procedure. I've 320 GB hard drive and it works fine even with a 5GB of free space
Cons: It's not essential cause we're talking about defragmentation but the interface could be prettier.

Version: Paragon Total Defrag 2009 build 5905
Pros: Free - this was the Paragon Total Defrag 2009 Special Edition on the cover of a PC magazine
Cons: It left my C: drive unmountable
Summary: As someone else reported here, the analysis phase was slow.
Previously no trouble with the disk drive - just over full (about 85%) and fragmented.
This may be a great defragmenter, the version here may be significantly different than the v... read more >> -
Version: Paragon Total Defrag 2009 build 5905
Pros: No known to me so far
Cons: The trial version is not really full version
Does not have a report file for the results
Customer support answers only when you remind them (after a week or so)Summary: I downloaded trial version of that program to see if it does what they say. Eventually if it would work for me I would buy it.
I decided to analize (not yet defragment) HDD that is 160GB with approximately one third used. The program suggeste... read more >> -
Version: Paragon Total Defrag 2009 build 5905
"Crashed Vista Home Premium Twice!"
Pros: Can't say there was anything I liked...couldn't use it
Cons: Contacted their tech support and they said it was anit-virus conflict...Unfortunately...this means they didn't even review the crash report I sent...I don't have any anti-virus software installed yet...
Summary: Bottom line, unless their tech support can figure out the conflicts...I would suggest you don't waste your time with this program...
