This service release not patch only but contain all newer dll and exe can be run as stand alone application without need original version of Microsoft Office 97. Example: for working winword 97 just extract to get winword.exe, msconv97.dll, mso7enu.dll, mso97.dll, wwintl32.dll

Not support to read and write Office Open XML without 2007 compatibility pack
