    "Harassing Pop-ups"

    July 07, 2013   |   By dennphill

    Version: Norton PC Checkup 3.0

    Wouldn't know any such thereof...

(Longtime) Norton AV and Internet Security customer, now using 360...and in last 2 weeks CONTINUAL popup warnings of Norton PC Checkup having found (thus and so) warning signs, along with an offer to buy Norton's "Rescue Me" for some subscription price! Continual popups on 2 laptops and main PC running Norton 360.

And, of course, my Norton 360 is saying Security, Identity, Tuneup, etc. all fine (protected). It's as bad as the TV commercial for "My Clean" Norton/Symantic have really sunk to new lows, trying to scare customers. I just wish I could stop the continual popups.

    Version: Norton PC Checkup 3.0

All it's good for is taking up resources on your pc. The one thing I found that is the total opposite from the other reviewers is the results. I found the results were spot on and it didn't try to tell me any false positives just to sell me their software.

It's totally useless. Scans but didn't resolve any issues.

This software is so useless. I am with the other reviewer about how Peter Norton should be ashamed that this bears his moniker. His name used to be well respected as part of the forefront on pc health & security. Hopefully he doesn't actually belong to the company anymore.
