Developer’s Description

Calculate tiebreaks, evaluate tiebreak methods in individual chess tournaments.
The Norgaard Tieberak tool enables you to calculate tiebreaks in chess tournaments (not team tournaments). It also introduces 7 new tiebreaks that have not been published before or are relatively new. It applies FIDE official rule for unplayed games, or alternatively a new unplayed games rule. Generate predictiveness statistics for one or multiple tournaments, for any combination of 22 tiebreak criteria. Handles Round Robin, Double RR and Swiss. Tournaments are in text files that can have one of 7 formats or combinations of these formats. You can export from SwissPerfect, Vega and several other popular formats to import into the program. You can import from chess-results.com. Several statistics like draw percentage, percentage of unplayed games, and number of games are displayed. The manual explains which 7 tiebreaks make sense to use in Round Robin tournaments and why. The manual has an appendix with the currently calculated average predictiveness for 22 combined tiebreaks. The manual introduces the concept "tiebreak cruncher" which concerns if all tiebreaks are resolved, e.g. the last criteria tiebreak score is different for two players having the same score. The manual explains how to convert non-standard input formats into a format the program understands.
