"Simply The Best One for Free"

Pros

Quick easy install, used it in minutes without a manual, no load on system (3% of CPU minamized and 4% open watching it run, Downloaded @ 1mg per sec) loaded it on older system and it ran like a champ. Tried on multi sites got 95% or beter of pics.

Cons

Not many, it does not pick up the address on its own, need to hit copy on bar every time or you will download the same thing each time. Also it does not pick up the file name you have to add that or it uses the main one for the page showing thumbs.

Summary

Over All a Darn Good Program, and it was FREE. It works better than some I paid money for! I run a pretty fast system and it was like it was not even running, see Pro's. On a older system it did great as well, had to go back to a really old lap top to get it to work the system (an old HP from 98 running XP) Who wrote the code did a heck of a job, it double checks what it downloaded and when static was introduced into the line it still got what it went after and verified it. Does a very good job on US sites and did very well on forign site as well. It did however drop down on the % of pics to just above 95% of the total pics it was sent after. But still Impressive! It would have gotten more but the Ping Rate for some of The Sites was slow and if think it timed out on some. Atleast thats what the tracers showed, as some of the packets did not return for 22 to 30 seconds. It also did very well on resuming the downloads when it was shut down and when the power was killed to the system, try that with some of the others and they will not pick back up were they left off, but this did. Ok lets look at Some of the Con's. It does not pick up the address bar on its own. you have to hit the copy each time. you do not have to paste it just copy. Also it only picked the main page title for the entire Gallery. Thats could be a problem if you download several things from one persons page as it lists only the main page name not the gallery name. you also have to left click each time to get it to do that. The only other thing it did just like every other one I have used is if the Pic has something embedded in it it downloads that as well so watch what you go after and use something like Norton to stop it. Programs like this and ALL the others did the same thing so its not just this one. I would also suggest that you let it get the Pics it has set up to show what all it will do, as it downloaded some Great WallPaper from the sites on its default settings. Sofar this one is the best program I have gotten from CNET beside Spybot Search and Destroy. I would give the Free Ver. of Neo 7.5 out of 10 overall and this is the longest reveiw i have written, hope it helps. Thanks for reading and Thanks to CNET for hosting a Great site. the only one, wich does not fragment your harddrive

"easy to use and fastest to work"

Pros

the possibility to download specified media from entire web site and even all connected sites.

Cons

sometimes don't perform the easiest scan of a single site page;only with particular websites.I can't find why.

It works exactly as it says, and very well, too, I might add.

Cons

The only problem is it's speed is slow due to only using two connections at a time. I advise upgrading to the full version ASAP...
