The support from the developer is outstanding. I encountered a memory error with the PPC version and the developer worked closely with me to quickly find a solution-most impressive! While Minuteur is not free like some timers, it does so much more and is well worth the price.

I use it daily to remind myself to call someone back, or check the dryer, or go to an appointment, or go exercise. All sorts of things that I might otherwise forget to do.

A one-star "review" for such an elegant app just because you are having temporary problems with it is unconstructive and mean. (And you might want to fix those sticking keys DrLeonP !)

  ...timing app.<br />This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Minuteur is the kind of app that does one thing extremely well. It is a timer app and that is all. The interface is elegant and simple to use, merely drag the "ruler" to set the time, or use the nicely hidden popup for your preset countdowns. I have only a few minor interface quibbles with the all too identical buttons: 1. when counting down, why is the green button lit up and the stop button dim? Certainly while running the green button should be dim, and the red button lit (it only lights on hover) 2. The pause button should also be yellow all the time. 3. The count up button should have an arrow or something (perhaps a button with an arrow that flips depending on state). But these are so minor to be almost negligible. A great app!

Minuteur has a novel GUI that sets the timer without any keystrokes, but I find it's easiest to right click the dock icon, select a preset time, and go back to whatever I was doing. Apple should package this timer with OS X - it feels like it belongs on a Mac. Other timers are bloated, nag for money, or are just plain frumpy. Minuteur keeps it simple, in style. I never thought I would rave over a simple timer, but this is no ordinary timer.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I use this little app as a way to get into doing work that I've been putting off - "Just 5 minutes on project X" and I find it's not as daunting as I thought, and I get a good deal more done, the tick tick ticking in the background helps to get me really focussed in those 5 minutes, and when the bell goes, more often than not I set it for another 5 or 10 and projects get pushed along. The point is that Minuteur is so simple it's transparent, I don't think about it, just set it and work seems to get done :) I love it.
