Excellent if you can forgo keeping track of hours.

Pros
Omits all the clutter required to keep track of appointments and events in terms of hours. Easy to write in - even as a recurring event - something like "Yoga 7 - 9 p.m." The program doesn't block out those two hours; the entry appears on the chosen date just as text. In your own head you manage your time, which for those of us blessed with simple lives is easy. uCalendarX thus functions well as a log or journal.

No longer under development - alas.
Summary
On my Mac mini this program stopped working February 5, 2012, when I upgraded the OS to 10.7.3 in a large download that included an update to the firmware.

Complementing MS Entourage, I use it to make a note of upcoming arts events, a task which, because itÃ¢??s simple to use and can easily be configured, it performs very well. <br><br>However, after installing v.3.1.3 it forced me to enter my registration number <b>every</b> time I opened it. I wrote to WAKI Riuzo about this and asked him/her to fix it. I got no response and, having downloaded and installed v.3.1.4, I am disappointed to find that this has not been fixed. ItÃ¢??s a pain.

One reason that I like it is that it's a lot easier to read than iCal. And it keeps your information PRIVATE, because it does NOT actively interface to the Internet! A really nice, stable, application with features that are easy to use. Some may balk at the price, but for others uCalendar is an excellent choice. Version 3.0 is a mature application incorporating the best set of features and functions to date; all wrapped up in a neat GUI that is a pleasure to use! uCalendarX is the app that iCal should have been!
