Pros
It wiped my USB drive quickly and easily. I prefer utility programs that are standalone, but it installed easily (Windows 7) and does not take much space. And it was free.
Cons
After I wiped the USB drive it was recognized but inaccessible and inoperable. That's fine if you want to scrub and discard the USB drive, but I'm giving it to someone. I scrambled and eventually found instructions on how to use Storage/Disk Management to create a new NTFS on the USB drive, and then it was accessible.
Summary
It was fine for erasing and discarding a drive. For erase and reuse, I needed to do extra work.

this free app worked flawlessly. I had tried 3 or 4 others prior to this & they all had some problems that prevented me from using them.

none. it worked for me!
Summary
I wanted to wipe a failed internal hard drive to my notebook. I used the mini tool drive wipe from my desktop and my failed drive was connected to the pc via a usb and a 2.5 inch internal hard drive enclosure. the mini tool drive wipe worked flawlessly. it was easy to understand and use. recommended.

Summary
Needed to wipe a few old laptop ide drives. This program allowed me to wipe them with an external cable. No need to find an old laptop to wipe them in. Will also be very useful for external memory and backup drives.
