Publisher's Description
From Xybernic:
Menu Eclipse is a completely new application written from the ground up, and made to last. Save those constant pixels in the menu bar from getting burned into your screen. Gain better focus on your work & play, and away from the menu bar. Runs in the background and takes almost no CPU activity. Does not tamper with your system, just so you know.

"Isn't $3 a little steep for a utility?"
Version: Menu Eclipse 2.4
Pros
Sure it works...if you really need it...if you still have a CRT monitor.
Cons
The price. This is a utility. It fades the menu bar. That's it.
Summary
I ask again...$3 for this?

The best of the lot! Unlike, MenuShade (which is not compatible with Leopard), Menu Eclipse cannot fake transparency but this may be Leopard's limitation. Other than that it is great. It is the only app of this type that does not require a restart or logout. Simply pick your settings and soothe your eyes and mind. -

I love the new version! Now I want it to eclipse the titlebars on all the windows so they match too! -

Only appears to work on main "Space" via Spaces in OS10.5. Will not darken the menu on any "space" other than #1. -
