Version: MediaRecover Image Recovery Mac 2.5
"Free to try. Can't SAVE anything, but you can TRY it."
Pros: What a crock of BS. "Free to try"? I waited ten minutes for it to read a corrupt 256 meg CompactFlash card. Recovered less than half the files, and then the "SAVE" box was blurred out. Thanks, guys! I'm off looking for a better product that doesn't pretend it's shareware.

Version: MediaRecover Image Recovery Mac 2.5
Pros: Worked for recently deleted jpeg files but not for files that were deleted long ago. It will show the name of the file and the type, but doesn't recover it.
Cons: Works with Windows XP too. Recovers .mov files but they won't be useful. Accidently deleted about 30 .mov files from my SD chip. Took chip out immediately so not to write to it. Purchased the media recover program. Recovered all the files but they were no longer recognized by quicktime or the recorder they were originally created on. Emailed tech support and they are pretty much useless. They blow it off as an esculated issue that should be directed to the creators of the program. No help at all.

"Worked great on jpegs, but not video"
Pros: I lost a whole GB of images and video on my SD card (erased? reformatted? who knows?). I used this software to recover all 100 images and 1 of about 5 videos. It worked great on these and was easy to use. It was a real lifesaver!
Cons: I had about 6 AVI files on my card, but it only successfully recovered one of them. Oh well, I'm really happy I got my images back!!

"nice down load - why can't I open it? The format is not recognized."
Pros: Like the quick down load.
Cons: I can't open it. My computer is looking on line for the proper software to open this extension but has not been able to find it. You might want to include software to open the download or at least tell me where I can find it, otherwise, it is useless to me.
