• DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. . .NO REFUNDS WHEN IT FAILS

  Pros

  We downloaded this product. Tried it on several different computers. It shot our CPU close to 100%, never functioned well. We bought the Pro version (because we wantdd it to work!!) When we contacted the company for a refund, they refused. We contacted them, again, now they claimed it was past the first 30 days. RUN, RUN, RUN!!!

  Cons

  Product used all of our CPU capacity on computer. Apparently NO refunds, even when it does not work!!

  RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE

  Don't know I never got that far, never got to use the cam. So I can't tell you.

  Cons

  Closes search engines with out permission. Reconfigures your search engine for BING Places two junk Cam applications on your computer.

  Summary

  Downloaded the PC application for ManyCam, was downloading a 2 gig file in the background 10 minutes from finishing. Ran the ManyCam application and it shuts down Firefox.. Thank you! does not ASK you if you want to shut down any browser just shuts it down.. Secondly the application reconfigures the Firefox splash page and search preferences to BING. If I wanted BING as a default search engine I would have configured it that way. After restoring my Firefox to my preferences decided ManyCam is not going to be for me.. Removed the application from my system.

  Pros

  None that I can see since, despite what they claim on their blog, the latest version is NOT compatible with Yosemite.

  Cons

  It doesn't work on Mac Yosemite. I think that's a pretty big con. Also, when you download the app, it changes all your search preference setting to MyStart. Very deceptive and annoying.

  Summary

  Why oh why hasn't someone come up with an alternative to Manycam? Their customer service is so poor and the app so inferior, surely someone can offer a better version?

• Keeps running covertly in the background

  Pros

  It's a great idea to incorporate other cameras.

  Cons

  Cannot adjust size of the screen. I'd like to be able to have a big picture. But, this version just changes the resolution in a tiny portion of the window. Expanding the window to the full-screen mode doesn't help either. Does not show up when switching applications with command-tab. And it seems to keep running in the background after you exit the program. I found out when I went to install a newer version. I was asked to close ManyCam. At that point, it didn't show up in the Activity Monitor, either. Strange? With all the malware out there, I don't trust applications that run in the background.
