Publisher's Description
From ZOHO:
ManageEngine WiFi Manager is an integrated and centralized management and security solution for wireless networks (WLANs) for enterprises. WiFi Manager offers wireless device monitoring, one-click configuration, access point firmware management, wireless security management and a variety of reports that remove the complexity of wireless network management. It presents a Web-based view of all wireless networks operating in your building, access points available inside each network, status of those access points, channel at which they operate, mobile clients connected to them and their signal strength/ noise values, and association history. You can configure/ upgrade firmware of access points using WiFi Manager. And once integrated with RF sensors, WiFi Manager becomes a full-fledged wireless IDS system generating more than 40 different security alarms on rogue APs, intrusions, denial-of-service attacks, and vulnerabilities. WiFi Manager can monitor both wired and wireless LANs.
Version 5 supports 85 models of wireless access points and is able to assign access to different devices and resources to different users.

"Great Product....I love it"
Version: ManageEngine WiFi Manager 4.0
Pros
I first tried it at my home and it worked great. They have a free edition that works for 3 access points forever. The trial version runs for 30 days but can be used for unlimited APs.
And then I used it in my office - it worked like a breeze there too. It does both wireless management and security in one package. Can import configuration from one AP to other group of APs. Great set of reports.
It can detect rogue APs in the network but it would work 24x7 only if you have their RF Sensor. But once you have that installed - you can be sure your network is completely sealed. (I use the sensor only in my work place.)
- Great price. The price mentioned here is wrong. They have brought it down to $495 for a 10AP pack. I bought the 50AP pack for $995.
- Good support. Active forums.
Cons
- No support for wireless switches.
- Can't save my configurations to use for a later time.
- Doesn't email me once a firmware upgrade is finished.

"manage 1000s of access points for the price of 2!"
Version: ManageEngine WiFi Manager 4.0
Summary
That $995 bill is for managing unlimited APs; compare this with other offerings which charge on a per AP basis (normal rates start from $70 per AP). Great deal for enterprises, edu. insts., and hospitals who've planted volumes of access points. A mgmt s/w for the price of two (enteprise-grade) access points!! For SOHO free edition is ideal - same functionality but restricted to 3 APs and 10 wired devices. Anybody got more gear at home???

"I am using non-commercial FREE version"
Version: ManageEngine WiFi Manager 4.0
Summary
So far everybody complained about the cost for this software. Well guys, for home users like me the free version (no time limit, no functional limit, just limitation of number of nodes) is more than sufficient.

"Won't even try it!!"
Version: ManageEngine WiFi Manager 4.0
Summary
Why would you recommend software that costs $995? Your average computer user will never purchase this.
