From Rage Software :Macintosh Explorer provides an alternative method of browsing your hard drives. The first ever Mac file browser to provide tabbed file browsing, thumbnail picture previews, and filter based file browsing. As well, it provides a familiar interface for file navigation for Windows users converting to the Mac.
Macintosh Explorer provides such features as removing unneeded files, backing up important documents, extended file information and a batch file info changer combined with an easy to use file browser. Allowing you to perform various operations on files and folders while browsing your hard drives.
Since Macintosh Explorer resembles Windows Explorer, it allows Windows users to quickly become comfortable when switching to the Macintosh platform.
What's new in this version:
- All New Thumbnail View lets you preview pictures as you browse instead of generic icons
- Significantly improved file listing speed is now comparable to the Finder
- Instantaneous file sorting
- Sort order is now remembered between folders

Version: Macintosh Explorer 4.3
"nice features, but feels sluggish"
Pros: One of the few things I like about Windows is the explorer, so I was pleased to see a similar application for the Mac. (Apple, why is it impossible to find the full path in a Finder window?) Macintosh Explorer is a nice addition to my toolkit.
Cons: Performance is sluggish on a 533MHz G4. It crashed quite frequently before I upgraded to MacOS 10.4. I'm just getting back to re-evaluating it, so I don't know how stable it will be. It could use some polishing and performance tuning.
