Publisher's Description
From Carnation Software:
MacWise emulates ADDS Viewpoint, Wyse 50, Wyse 60, Wyse 370, Televideo TV 925, DEC VT100 and Prism terminals. Esprit III color is also supported in Wyse 370 mode. MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal -- connected to a host computer directly or via modem. The emulators support video attributes such as dim, reverse, underline, 132-column modes, and graphic characters sent from the host computer, as well as enhanced Viewpoint mode. Features include phone list and dialer for Hayes-compatible modems, on-screen programmable function keys and more.
What's new in this version: Preferences are now stored in the Application Support folder. If you have run a previous version of MacWise, your settings will be copied from the old preferences location to the new one.
Fix - If you opened a second window and saved settings with a Command S, the window size would be incorrect the next time you ran MacWise and the connection would change to serial.

"Replaced Terminal and Zterm for me."
Version: MacWise 11.70
Pros
I need to have a reliable app that lets me in to the shell and I can use for terminal emulation with routers, switches and the like. It works! Not a big power user and it does what I need it to.
Cons
I have not had any problems.
Summary
I like it and will keep getting the upgrades.

"Kept freezing"
Version: MacWise 4.41
Cons
Obscure and non-mac-like interface. Would stop working at random intervals. Had to Force Quit every time.

"didn't work for me"
Version: MacWise 10.7.64
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Tried using this to connect to the console port on a raid subsystem. First launch after install gave me a ton of errors. Quit and relaunched; app froze "checking connections". Couldn't force quit from the keyboard, activity viewer, command line...finally had to reboot my server. Luckily this machine is offline and isn't live. -
"Works as advertised"

This has worked like a champ. Connections to my WYSE 50 server at the office have been stable and allowed me to work from home whenever I need to. And the couple of times I've had questions for Rich, I've heard back in minutes. -
"This is an awesome product!"
Version: MacWise 10.5.8

Sure maybe I could go and buy a terminal for 50.00 but then i wouldn't get such terrific support as rich offers. e-mails get answered in 2 minutes. problems get fixed just as fast. Checkout how many updates this guy has fixed.
