Check the validity of your favorite sites with this plain but functional application. Link200 offers an easy step-by-step wizard to check sites you've bookmarked and removes those with faulty addresses. It works on Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Firefox browsers to quickly scan and produce a report of bad sites. You can't choose which items will be deleted; Link200 removes all the sites it deems faulty. A backup file is created of deleted addresses, though the program doesn't allow you to restore them. For anyone with an unruly folder of bookmarked sites, this freeware is a simple and inexpensive way to help get it under control by weeding out invalid sites.Publisher's description

"Works fast but some false positives"
Pros: - quite fast scanning
- easy to understand wizardCons: - some false positives (even google's mailservice Postini)
Summary: This is a lightweight and excellent tool to check your bookmarks. Once the file is loaded, you can leave the program do it's thing. My 500 delicious-bookmarks were scanned in under 9 minutes.

Pros: It works fast, lots of feedback on bad links, cleans fast.
Cons: Could use an option to delete empty folders.
Summary: I seem to collect bookmarks, but my OCD forces me to check them occasionally to clean them out. This makes that so much simpler. I had about 300 bookmarks in 54 folders, and it scanned quickly. It gave me a report on what links were questionable ... read more >>

Pros: Simple UI.
Cons: Doesn't work with FF 3 even though it's website claims it works with most browsers.
Summary: If you don't use FF 3, then AM-Deadlink is a better, full-featured free product. (it doesn't work with FF 3 either).
