The old version let you change the specifics on you conversion in the free edition. This one doesn't without you purchasing.

Get the old one if you can, but for very basic users this will be fine.

I compress all my TV tuner recording with this. Smooth play.
Cons
When running, it will convert 4 files at once. Each conversion has its own string. On an atom duel core it really puts a hurting on computers speed. Doesn't bother my X2 though.
Doesnt like the really large files. 2+GBSummary

Pros
i can use it to trim the exact video duaration i like, and remove the margins around the video with the "Crop", and the "Merge into one" saves me a lot of space for my iPod. The batch conversion do save great time for me.

interface is not bright
