From Lalarm Systems:

"very useful laptop security software"
Version: LAlarm Free Laptop Alarm 5.7
Pros
anti-theft, data recovery and destruction. I also like the health alarm, personal safety feature, which helps prevent my eye strain. Easy to use- I was able to use most of the features of this s/wwithout reading the manual.
Cons
the manual is just online help in plain text. No pictures and drawings. Does not support Mac OS.
Summary
LAlarm is a must have software for my laptop along with antivirus, firewall, backup, encryption, firefox, open office. Hope to see MAC OS support in the future and more friendly documentation as well as video tutorials.

"An excellent loud alarm"
Version: LAlarm Free Laptop Alarm 5.7
Pros
The alarm is easy to use, just sign in with your password on
Windows, then hit the windows icon and L at the same time. It activates the alarm.Cons
I have a business laptop with only two usb ports. If I want to unplug an item from the usb port I have to log off first or the alarm will activate (as it is designed to do).
Summary
I really like the product. It is useful as an alarm if you are in a library or cafe and may need to hop up for another latte, without having to carry your laptop with you. I personally like it because I can unplug something from the usb and have an auto matic burgular alarm. I don't know how useful the panic button is in case of a sudden attack. It is an ingenious alarm and I will always use it. I keep it on in my home in case someone is foolish enough to try and steal it. They will drop it quickly when they hear that alarm. I don't think they want to be caught running down the street with the siren blasting.
