Two of the most useful features that can be added to an computer desktop are a simple alarm clock and a quick note-taking program. Kinjite provides a bare-bones version of both, although it is not clear to us why they were linked. The jot-pad is tabbed, allowing a user to switch easily back and forth between notes. The rudimentary alarm clock triggers either one of several preset sounds or an MP3 file selected by the user. We found the interface somewhat amateurish, and would like to see more flexibility in the clock, which allows users to set just one alarm. Although Kinjite does blend several good ideas, we would recommend downloading one of the many more advanced programs available with similar features.

Get an alarm clock that plays your audio files.

Kinjite is a minimal, easy to use tabbed note taking program and alarm clock. The alarm clock plays audio files selected by the user, or a pre-installed Beep or Zombie Scream. Unlike other alarm clocks which use an external program to play audio files, Kinjite plays them internally, saving the play lists in your media player from being hijacked.
