I did not have any of the issues mentioned above. Win xp Pro Sv 2. Created a separate tunnel on vpn server, set up thegreenbow. No issues.
RDP into server over newly created vpn tunnel, again no issues. Set to access tunnel on selected app no issues.
Cons
Trying to figure out if a Point to Point can be created between 2 separate lans without a hardware Vpnserver?
Summary
Cost per user seems a little steep, although ease of use balances that off.
Would recommend a basic understanding of IPSEC VPN's before install
it will make your life easier. Other than that it seems to run fine and do as advertised...
WARNING!!! DO NOT USE FOR 64-bit WINDOWS 7
thebbk
Pros
Absolutely nothing. For the mentioned OS, it is a virus.
Cons
STAY AWAY FROM THIS.
Summary
I had the same experience as ryandcosta. Who puts out something like this? My laptop was completely hosed - no network capability at all. Trying to restore now. This is garbage.
Just doesn't work
captdang
Pros
A great concept if it could work. It may be me but...
Cons
I've tried this product on different laptops and with 4 different routers, but can NEVER get it to work. I've tried it on XP, Vista and Windows 7 I've followed their configuration guides EXACTLY
Summary
Try it before you buy it and make sure you can get it to work
loses often connection
fazer_61
Pros
nothing, cannot not it use without deinstalling every time switching OS on a multi boot computer
Cons
allows only one activation even it is installed on the same multiboot computer, loses often connection
Summary
Was using version 4.50 on XP. After installing win7 (dualboot) on the same computer activation was not possible. had fist to deinstall on the XP partition to find out that this version does not work with win7. Downloaded version 4.65 and tried to activate with the license but got message 'the license is not valid for this version'
Very upset about this software an my only recommendation is: DON"T BUY
did not install correctly n corrupted device drivers
ryandcosta
Pros
nothing, could not install or use it
Cons
does not work with windows 7 64 bit edition
Summary
i tried to install it but it did not install complaining about a missing .conf file. After that i tried to uninstall it and it didnt do that correctly as well and then my wireless connection just died. On further investigation i found that the both the wired and wireless device drivers were corrupted and i had to do a System Restore to restore the affected system files. The software should include a notice that it is going to change system files and give an option to create a restore point. Terrible installation experience.
Easy to set-up, works behind proxies and NAT Routers, fast support response
icezebra
Pros
-Easy to set-up, with great detailed instructions for various routers, including debugging guides - on their web-site.

-Supports NAT-T in forced mode.

-Even works behind a hotel proxy server in P.R. China (Shanghai) when nothing else I tried using XP's client would work.

(Translation: will work even if ipconfig says your IP address is 10.0.x.x or 192.168.x.x)

-Has a test configuration installed out of the box so you can troubleshoot using their VPN Tunnel host site.

-Netgear FWG114P also supported, just use config for FVS318(v3)

-The support guys exchanged e-mail with me every few minutes!

-Works well alongside Nortel's Contivity Client. I had one tunnel on each client active at the same time - no problem!

(Although I think Contivity needs to be configured for split tunnelling)

-There is a 30 day trial period, so you can get set-up, play with it, and then decide. I could not uninstall a competitor's VPN client after it tried it a year or so ago. It was on my drive until I re-imaged it. I notice The Greenbow has a special uninstall application that you can download, so looks like they have plannd for such a thing should it happen to their client - smart.
Cons
-I think the support team is in France, so allow 24 Hours for a response, I was in a closer time zone when I got the two-minute turn-around time.

-IMHO at 58 Euros, the price is way out of line. A fair price for this product would be $US 29.00. Just move the development and support teams to India (I recommend Sasken, these guys are sharp) and Bob's your uncle!
Summary
Easy To Use
ejlana
Pros
This is perfect for anyone who don't know anything about setting up a vpn client. Instructions made it possible to setup within a minute.
Cons
Wish it was cheaper to purchase.
Summary
Good Stuff
rboudrie
Pros
I run it with on my laptop to communicate with Linksys BEFVP41 routers I have installed at various locations and it works wonderfully. I also set it up for a "non-geek" who is not the kind of person who can deal with setting up something like this, and it has been very stable for him - he tells me it has been working consistently since I configured it for him.
Cons
The installation requires a basic understanding of how VPNs work - it's not the kind of thing someone who is not comfortable configuring software will easily setup. Greenbow gives a 30 day trial so you can verify that it works before you pay for it.

Another con is the license activation - the key is "consumed" and you would need a new key to re-install on the same PC. TheGreenBow does an excellent job of responding to customer emails, and from what I've seen, I would expect they would be willing to help a customer who needed to reimage their system get going agin without buying a new license.
Summary
Crashes XP!!!

Pros
None (didn't get to use it)
Cons
Installed software, restarted Windows and it blue-screened soon after logging in each time I tried. Running Win XP with all latest MS downloads.
