• A MUST for users of multiple monitors or computers

  Pros

  This software is an innovative tool for users of multiple monitor and/or computer configurations. I use it across 3 computers and 8 monitors for my trading business. It's a wonderful replacement to a video/keyboard/mouse switch-box, and the clipboard functionality across computers is very handy as well. It almost feels as though you're using one computer.

  Cons

  Only works with monitor configurations in straight lines, ie, monitors in vertical or horizontal rows, not any offset configurations. Drag and drop ability across computers would be nice.

  Pros

  If you consistanly work with two or more Windows computers at a time, once you try this you will not be able to live without it. Copy and paste between computers is wonderful.

  Cons

  yes it costs money. <p>it is easier to loose your cursor when you have three monitors.

  It costs! It is ridiculous to pay a software when an open-source (free in all terms) version is available (Synergy). <p> <p>Besides, Desktop Rover is not multi-platform. Synergy is! (that is you can connect a Linux box to Windows box)

  Pros

  The best thing about "DR" (v3.0) is that it lets me almost ignore my 2nd keyboard and mouse. Tech support was also good even though I was a trial user (now registered). I use it with multiple monitors (2 pcs, 7 screens) without big problems.

  Cons

  I love "DR"... but... the documentation could be improved, as could the setup. I had to contact them to ensure it worked properly. The rollover to the other computer screen could be smoother (sometimes the cursor stops but will push through). While my other mouse still worked, the laptop "pointer" is nonfunctional with DR running. There is an added feature to cut/paste across your computers, which worked OK; however, I found it sometimes interferes with my cut/paste across applications (so I turn DR off temporarily). There could be other improvements ("recenter" cursor to screen 0), but I could not do without Direct Rover now (and it's only day 7 using it).
