This handy system tester efficiently determines your PC's hardware performance but disables some features until registration. Hot CPU Tester Lite, a slightly disabled version of Hot CPU Tester Pro, offers a plain yet functional interface that displays diagnostic actions in real time. The program puts your hardware components through extreme paces to test their reliability and stability. The System Info reports include details about the processor, CPU string, clock speed, and physical and virtual memory. It capably performs burn-in, benchmarking, and numerous diagnostics, including Complete Matrix, Sorting Algorithms, and Prime Test, but some trials are not available in this Lite version. You cannot execute an individual test, but you can save group test results in text files. This feature-rich and highly configurable application would be especially useful for administrators or power users who need to thoroughly test and track a system's performance.

buggy code - known problem - false positive errors

Reasonably clean looking, intuitive piece of software.
Cons
Falsely reports SSE errors. This is a known bug in the software.
Summary
Purchased pro version to address problem with PC that previous 4 techs had diagnosed incorrectly. After running HOT CPU Tester Pro for almost 4 days straight, the SSE test showed an error. I was elated I had perhaps found the real problem - the CPU. Further research revelead that earlier versions had a problem reporting SSE false positive errors. It has supposedly been fixed in the version I had. I replaced the CPU. Hot CPU Tester Pro said there was a problem with SSE on that CPU. I replaced the CPU again. Hot CPU Tester Pro said there was an error with the SSE on that CPU, as well. I have version 4.4.1, which I believe to be the latest. The company will not respond to my emails. The choice to buy this product has turned out to be quite a waste of time and money.

My laptop was throwing random errors, hardware failure, working hot and hard to run very slowly. All diagnostics negative. I looked for hardware diagnostics finding this program. It saved my laptop!
Cons
The program will take at least 12 hours. It is not quick fix. Make sure you have the computer set to shut down at high temps to avoid heat related damage.
Summary
High recommend especially for laptops known to have heat problems. Use with caution!
Errors on my Vista, no ISO boot capability - useless

Errors on my Vista on start up of program. Has to install and run in Windows. Can't use it to boot to CD and test hardware outside of Windows.

After two years battling with a system this program found the exact problem it in a couple of hours. The tests are extensive.
Cons
I would not really call them cons but wants. I would like to see more detailed info on say the manufacture and revision of more components and little things like code name, technology, cpuid. The only other thing would be some doccumentation. As I said though these are more wants than cons.
