Hostile Space: The Brood Inquisition is a massively multiplayer online role playing game that takes place in distant persistant galaxy. Players travel between stars, explore planets, harvest rare minerals, and combat terrible alien races and monsters. Gameplay is focused in solo and team play. PvP is twitch based forcing players to manuever and dodge enemy players. Story is based arround the growing threat of the Spider worshiping Brood.
Version 2.1 added new quests, items, mob AI, and space monsters.

"It's not worth paying for"

Pros
The game is addictive. I've played it off and on for 5 years or so.
I even paid to play it. That was a mistake.
It can be fun to fly around killing mobs and entering bases to kill mobs.
Cons
Blitz is the biggest reason to avoid the game.
He will not enforce his terms of service and has allowed cheaters and scammers to prosper.
His most recent update forced the entire player base to start from scratch.
He wiped the server after he promised he wouldn't and in so doing removed everything that players had accumulated for years. Item's that people, technically, had paid for.
He completely destroyed the economy of the game.
Items that could could be traded or sold are now bound to an account if installed on a ship.
This means that once used an item cannot be upgraded/plussed by someone with higher skills in systems or weapons fabbing.
Many items drop pre-bound which forces new players to do without what the experienced players would normally freely give.
I do still play on a free to play basis only.
I login a few times a week.
I will never again pay for this game.
Having the items we accumulated for several years simply removed show's, in my opinion, a complete disregard for the player base. That base is small and getting smaller.

The playerbase is an amazingly small group of people that are so addicted to the game they show thier loyalty to the absolutely retarded creater Blitz by continually paying for this dying game.
Cons
BLITZ. Creater of the game, has full control over the updates (that come few and far between) and has absolutely shot himself on the most recent.
His ignorance of his own game is amazing, He wont spend 15 mins a week to keep it running and he refuses help from the playerbase that includes veterans who have played the game 10 years plus and know MUCH more about it.
When downloading this game and logging on for the first time, Do not be surprised to see that you are the only person there. At absolute peak hours on the weekend the SOLO SERVER might have a maximum of 20-30 chars logged on with about 15 players multilogged on those.
Do not give this game your money, there is zero customer support and you will be very disappointed in the gameplay.

Blitz, is a retard, no matter what you suggest, hes going to aid scammers in hacking accounts, and scamming people, he doesnt care for the player base, and he tends to reward Scammers and Hackers who people complain about, Regardless of what the honest people have to say.

Used to be OK game now stuffed with too many updates.
Cons
Fabrication changes have disadvantged people working towards +9 weps.
Too many updates at one time, why could'nt there have been staggered updates.
Too much too fast, update wise.

its fun. there's not many online space shooters to compete with it

like most games this one has lots of bugs. most time he tends to leave most of them in game. he updates the game maybe once a year. if you're just starting out in the game don't expect to get very very uber. over the past 10 years he had made many upgrades/new stuff but when he removes things from the game, he leaves all the old stuff still in it so a newer player will never be able to get/make those items unless they are willing to pay lots of real life cash for it. if you don't believe me look at the forums, you will see market ads for gear/in game chars and some will plainly spell it out that they're selling it for real money.
another thing look at how many people play online at a time. it's not uncommon to see 1-5 people online at slow times and maybe 40 max at peak although of the 40 maybe 1/4 of them are people who are 2x-5x logged and quite a few of the multi loggers like to kill the bosses in the game by themselves at times or with another person (usually multi logged also) leaving the rest of the online people outta luck. be fast and lucky and go get the monsters/bosses while those guys are not online

Very great game. Although not many players are on (unlike mainstream mmo's with servers in the thousands) ive played this game for quite some time and its one of the best ive ever played. It has a very simple interface and you can choose to explore space solo, or with a group of players. It has the potential to be a much greater game, but only with the help of subcribers to fund Blitz's efforts, so try it, and if you like it its not expensive so buy it!
Cons
Graphics arent the greatest, though you can only go so much better in a game of this size. Currently one (?) server, small player base.

Ive been playing this game for over 4 years now played others games and keep comming back to this game .it takes a bit to get used to but after you get the hang of it good game .great community on most part
