Lethal Company is a cooperative horror game built around scrap collection on abandoned industrial moons. Players work under a quota system that requires retrieving valuables and delivering them to the Company before deadlines expire. Exploration takes place across outdoor environments and large interior facilities populated by hazards, creatures, and environmental conditions.

The Lethal Company’s  moon travel system connects locations with different risk and reward levels, while a ship management system acts as the center for navigation, monitoring, equipment purchases, and mission preparation. Currency earned from successful expeditions unlocks additional moons, tools, decorative items, and other ship-related content.

Lethal Company’s facility interiors contain interconnected rooms, corridors, caves, machinery areas, and randomized scrap locations. Valuable objects occupy inventory space and must be physically transported back to the ship. A quota system tracks collected value and determines progression between collection cycles. Unlike many cooperative horror games that focus on survival or escape objectives, the primary activity centers on gathering resources while balancing inventory capacity, travel distance, and increasing environmental danger.

Moonside collection systems

A radar console displays teammate locations and environmental information, while a terminal system provides moon data, purchasing functions, and remote interactions. The newer utility slot stores most purchased tools separately from scrap inventory. Crew members can divide responsibilities between ship operations and field exploration, with information gathered through scanners, cameras, and monitoring systems. However, many support functions still require direct player coordination rather than automated management.

Hostile wildlife, environmental conditions, and time-based threats shape every expedition. A creature-scanning system records encountered entities and stores information in a bestiary. Forest moons also received foliage updates and terrain revisions, including a complete overhaul of March. This escalating nighttime danger delivers a tense evasion experience similar to Dead by Daylight or Phasmophobia, restricting how long crews can safely remain before extraction becomes impossible.

Bottom Line

Quotas and threats

Lethal Company combines cooperative scavenging, quota management, procedural facility exploration, moon travel, and creature documentation within a single gameplay structure. The game includes monitoring tools, communication systems, inventory management mechanics, expanded interiors, and a growing collection of hostile entities. However, many ship-side operations still depend on manual coordination, and expedition windows remain limited by escalating nighttime hazards that increase operational risk over time.
