It was ok--got repetitive fairly quickly

- As I said, bad graphics, bad controls and it's hard for you or anyone to move. Didn't make that much effort though, in the game. Couldn't stand the speed that guy was "running" in, or the fact that you couldn't get around nicely. But if you're okay with that, the game is quite alright.

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Iâ??m admittedly not in the habit of downloading huge files like this. Iâ??m also often too cheap to register shareware games. Hollow Ground is an exception. This game is well worth the download if you take your time to learn its extensive power-up system, which is at the heart of the strategic side. Besides that it is basically just a straightforward retro style shooter. It is tons of fun though and the graphics, music and sound effects are quite up to date. If you like Gauntlet-style games, you are definitely going to love this one.

I was enjoying this game, but if I have to start over from the beginning every time there's an update, it's simply going into the trash instead. What a waste of time (even moreso than by sheer virtue of its being a time-wasting game to start with, that is.)

Glad I did, as this is a fun, addictive, gory frag fest. Nothing revolutionary, but a good aggression reliever. I noticed a little slowdown at parts, when the screen fills with baddies, but it was sporadic and never lasted very long. G4-400, 448MB
