From Freebyte :HJSplit is a popular set of freeware file-splitting programs created by Freebyte.com in collaboration with various programmers. HJSplit supports many platforms. All versions are compatible with each other and allow you to exchange files between these different platforms. E.g. a file split on the Amiga can be joined on Windows 2000 and vice versa.

Pros: It splits and joins files, pure and simple.
Cons: Check for bad bits in the split files when you join? Good luck! The program has a checksum feature, but hardly anybody ever use it. Most people don't ever bother knowing what it's for! Too bad because it's important.
Summary: The program works if the servers you upload to is 120% reliable. If you have a somewhat problematic internet line, even the slightest mistake will render the resulting files unreadable. WinRAR is your best option, as it will scan for corruption and ... read more >>

Pros: Save me dollars (fedex/usp, etc), time more $. sent my client the software -- happy as a new year puppy - straight forward to use
Cons: just a little more doc -- otherwise no cons
Summary: I'll use again , the only other thing would be to pay the bucks for a file client / server transfer product - maybe ,,

"It splits files, it works great."
Pros: It does what is said, splits files and rejoins them. Very simple interface, just browse to the file and enter how big you want the chunks to be and it splits.
Cons: Nothing wrong with it.
Summary: If you need a simple file splitter without waiting for compression like with zip utilities, then this program is lightweight and great.

Pros: I can decide exactly how large or small to make each segment
Cons: I see nothing worng with this program

Pros: Easy to use. Simple Interface. Fast.
Cons: Just one tiny little thing; it would be nice to be able to disable the nag window that asks if you are sure you want to exit the program.
Summary: HJ-split was the very first file joiner/splitter that I used. And it has never crashed, and all the files it has handled have worked. It is the one I keep coming back too. Great work, and thanks Freebyte!
